Wow it's November already and that means it's time for another Sew Day!
We're back at the Moran Prairie Library this month and are hosting our very own Kate Starcher for a tee-shirt quilt tutorial! So pull out those concert tees, vacation tees, or any other tee shirt that is near and dear to you but could use a refresher and let's get creative with our memories! Here is what you will need for the class:
-1-4 t-shirts that need a new purpose
-lightweight fusible (Pellon 906F is suggested)
-1/2 yard for each shirt / 1/4 yd fabric if they want to do gridded.
-sewing machine
-thread
When you're done you'll be comfortable stabilizing and sewing knits to make custom quilts.
There will also be a short business meeting at the start of Sew Day followed by Sew and Tell. So bring those finished quilts and the reason you feel it is modern to share with the group.
The end of the year is around the corner and that means it's time to renew our memberships! This year there will be different membership levels and some great swag, more on that later, but one thing that we can share now is all those members that renew by November's sew day will be entered into a raffle for a $25 gift certificate to Patchwork Threads!
