Challenge Fabric

Image
We're ready to distribute fabric for the challenge quilts! Please contact the guild if you need either Kona Surf (for the mini size challenge) or Enchanted (for the 50"x60" challenge) and we can arrange either porch pick up/delivery in the valley, or a social-distanced meet up in town on Thursdays-Saturdays.
Happy sewing!

April Sew Day - Virtual!

Hello all! Our April Sew Day this Saturday will be a virtual one again. We will hold a guild meeting at 10:10 using Zoom, so if you'd like to attend please download Zoom prior to that time, and email the guild at info@inmodquiltguild.com to get a link to the meeting.

We will be posting some resources for original design on Instagram during the day, and we also invite you to tag the guild and use the hashtag #InModInspiration to post sew and tells, or original design ideas. On Sunday we will randomly select one Instagram post with the above hashtag to win our fabulous door prize (TBA).

Can't wait to see some of your smiling faces on Zoom!

Limited Mask Templates Available

Image
Hello all, I hope everyone is holding up ok in these very strange times. One of our members, Jane, was able to obtain a very limited amount of acrylic templates to make masks as shown in this video from Lorrie Nunemaker and in the picture below.

There is no charge for the templates but if you want a set you do need to commit to reimbursing the cost of the shipping. If you are interested in a template set please email the guild at info@inmodquiltguild.com and we will get you in touch with Jane! You can also find PDFs of the mask pattern at the link above if you'd rather use a paper template, or if you want an acrylic template but we are out, you can also buy one from Lorrie Nunemaker's store here if they're in stock.

Stay safe out there, and stay tuned for plans for our next virtual sew day!

Retreat Update and Need for Masks

Image
Retreat UpdateWe are sad to announce that our Spring Retreat has been cancelled. We are looking at rescheduling in the fall depending on how things are at that time. We will be issuing refunds to everyone that paid; those should be processed this week sometime. If you have any questions please contact the guild at info@inmodquiltguild.com.
FacemasksYou’re probably aware of the call out by the Spokane Fire Department for masks. Currently, they have a need for them to protect themselves and the people they serve. ⁣

Right now things are changing rapidly. Here is some current information regarding where to pick up kits to make the masks and where to drop off completed masks as of Tuesday, March 24, 2020, if you’d like to participate (if you are wanting to pick up kits it's a good idea to call ahead and make sure they have some):⁣

Quilting Bee – They have a drop off in their entry from 10am-12pm daily. They do not have any kits available at this time but are awaiting fabric/supplies.

March Sew Day Update

Image
Hello quilters. Due to the Covid-19 outbreak we will be cancelling the March Sew Day. As a guild it is our responsibility to do what we can to keep our members safe and healthy, and also do our part to protect our community.

In lieu of our typical sew day on Saturday we will be hosting a virtual sew day. Make sure you're following the guild's Instagram (@inmodquiltguild) as we will be posting links to quilters, artists, and other makers that inspire us with their original design. In addition, tag the guild on Instagram and share what you're working on, who inspires you with original design, or what you're doing to help our community weather the Covid-19 storm, even if that's just staying home to help #flattenthecurve. Use the hashtag #InModsewstogether, and on Sunday morning we will pick a random post from those submitted to receive a door prize!

We know these are difficult times, made more difficult by uncertainty. Please be kind to one another, help where you can…
