INMod - Charity Opportunity

Do you have orphan blocks in your stash or even some money quilt tops tucked away?

 A representative from Hospice of Spokane will be speaking with to members at sew day on May 18th and along with INMod member Linda, will be collecting stray blocks and quilt tops.

The blocks and quilt tops will be used to make quilts for the beds at the hospice and if you would like to help in construction or donate other items like batting please talk to Linda at sew day.

May News and Events

May is a full month starting with sew day on May 18th from 10am to 4pm, coincidently the 39th anniversary of the 1980 Mt St Helens eruption.  Our food theme for May is Summer salads.  The guild will provide a hearty salad or two but if members could bring their favs and maybe a grain or desert to go with the salads that would be great!

At sew day we will be passing out 1 fat eighth of Kona Splash and 1 fat quarter of Kona Quicksilver for this years mini quilt challenge!  Each mini quilt must be 20" x 20" and contain both Splash and Quicksilver.  Participants can add 1 other color of their choice that they can use in varying shades, e.g. light blue to dark blue but all the same blue.  Since this year's theme for the guild is improv the mini must be improv sewn.

Our first guild Round Robin will be start on Sew Day, bring your "center block" and any fabric that you want included in your quilt. We will have "instruction forms" available at the Sew Day to …
