Sew Day This Saturday!

There are going to be two, yes two, sew days in February! The first is the coming Saturday (Feb 4th) which also happens to be national Quilts of Valor sewing day.  We encourage those involved with Quilts of Valor charity to work on QOV projects but if you're not don't worry we'd still love to see you!

There will also be blue and white fabric along with patterns to make star blocks of the Blue Line quilts.  Cassie Scott of @modernclementine is collecting these blocks so she can make quilts for fallen law enforcement officers in Washington, Oregon and Idaho.  If you want to get started the pattern is free on Fresh Lemon Quilts and is made up of (12) 3 1/2" HST with (4) 3 1/2" corner background squares.

The second sew day this month will be the unofficial Quiltcon Spokane and will be on the same weekend of as Quiltcon East.  There will be a quick lecture on designing modern quilts and a paper piecing tutorial.

Don't forget to watch Melanie's webinar tonight at 6:00 pm (pst).  If you can't see it tonight it will be posted on the MQG resource page a few days following the broadcast.
