June News and Events

Welcome to Summer!  This month's sew day will be June 15th from 10am to 4pm at the Associated Industries building, 1206 N Lincoln St, Ste 200, 99201.  Nancy has arranged a taco bar with the member for lunch and if you are attending and would like to know what to bring please email the guild at, info@inmodquiltguild.com.  Don't forget to bring a sewing project to work on or you can participate in one of the sewing opportunities below:

It Makes Me Smile - Christa Rinne 2019

This sew day Christa will be doing a quick workshop on a couple Maria Shell improv techniques.  If you would like to try one or both of the techniques presented in the workshop please bring, at minimum, eight fat quarters or large scraps in colors that will work well together and a neutral.


Raffle Quilt 2019, quilted by Susan Smith

Our raffle quilt is quilted and ready to bind.  If you can spare some time to during sew day the raffle quilt will be available for members to help hand stitch down the binding.  Also, our raffle quilt needs a name so if anyone has an idea to brain storm off of or just a great name let us know.


Heather Black - Modern Drunkard's Path & Secrets of Modern Half-Rec Triangles, Triangles, and Diamonds

Finally, our own Heather Black is teaching two workshops for Washington State Quilters (WSQ) this July 26th & 27th.  Registration is now open to non-WSQ members so if anyone is in the Spokane area and would like to learn more modern quilts and working with quarter circles, diamonds and half rectangles be sure to check out Heather's workshops HERE.
