July News and Events

We hope that everyone had a wonderful Fourth of July.  This month's sew day will be Saturday July 20th from 10am to 4pm at the Associated Industries building, 1206 N Lincoln St, Ste 200, 99201.  Last sew day we were able to finish up the raffle quilt.  Thank you to everyone that worked on this beauty!

June Sew Day

For lunch the guild is planning a make-your-own sandwiche buffet.  If you are planning to attend and would like to bring sandwich fixings, chips, fruit and/or salads, please email Nancy at nancyharrisneal@msn.com.

Now that the raffle quilt is finished it is time to start selling tickets!  There will be tickets and info cards available to purchase at sew day so buy a fist full and sell, sell, sell.  There will be some opportunities to volunteer at different venues to sell tickets too.

Don't forget to be working on the 2019 challenge.  Our theme this year is improv sewing.  Each mine must be 20" x 20" and include the Kona color of the year, Splash, along with Kona Quick Silver.  You can add one additional color in varying shades and tints but only one, see Christa's quilt above.  The challenge minis will be due at or before the September sew day.

Finally, for members who signed up to participate in the round robin July's sew day is swap day so please bring your tops to trade to sew day or arrange with Jane to get them to the next person on the list.
